The focus of English Composition 101 is to help the students who enroll on the course become more proficient writers and to help them to develop the strategies and skills that can be applied to a variety of writing situations. Together, we will develop the ability to produce text that clearly expresses ideas and that is mechanically correct. In this course they will also be introduced to the principles and methods related to conducting research and incorporating the results into the students’ writing.
